The 2023 Volkswagen Golf R is a high-performance version of the popular Volkswagen Golf hatchback. Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 315 horsepower and 310 Ib/ft of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels via Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel drive system. The Golf R also features a launch control system that helps to maximize acceleration off the line.

Suspension and Brakes:
The Golf R features a sport-tuned suspension system that is lower by 20mm and stiffer than the standard Golf. The Golf R also comes with larger brakes than the standard Golf, with four-piston calipers up front and two-piston calipers in the rear.

Inside, the Golf R features sport seats with fabric upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a digital gauge cluster. The Golf R also comes standard with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control and keyless entry.

Safety Features:
