The Shackleton diverges from Rolling Homes' usual style of using real wood furniture and instead opts for handmade Vöhringer lightweight board for the cabinets, giving it a sportier appearance that's more in line with its character. There's a variety of finishes to choose from, with this particular one featuring a fresh design, and the kitchen worktop is made of elegant Corian, which, in this case, is white as opposed to the typical black.
As with all Rolling Homes conversions, the attention to detail and quality is exceptionally high, a standard you would expect from a converter that holds NCC approval. A notable feature is the top-notch SCA Deluxe rising roof, which carries TÜV approval and includes a roof bed on a slatted base as a standard feature.
The layout of the kitchen, situated on the side, incorporates a crash-tested RIB seat/bed system with space to stow a Porta Potti underneath. Making the bed is a straightforward process, and the rear boot area is generously sized, with the added flexibility of folding the rear bed section vertically to accommodate larger cargo. With the bed in place, the end of the furniture is thoughtfully designed to include a small bedside counter for essential items during the night.
The galley itself features a Dometic two-burner hob and sink unit with split glass lids, while the front-loading compressor fridge boasts a 50-litre capacity. A spacious shelved cupboard houses the sealed gas locker, and additional cabinets have been neatly integrated above the counter next to the bench seat
