Based on the VW Transporter T6.1, the Birchover classic campervan conversion is our core model, evolving over the years and benefitting from continuous development. The campervan is fitted with a traditional layout; the kitchen along the drivers' side of the vehicle with a rear RIB seat/bed. What allows the Birchover to truly stand apart is its superb quality of build and the ingenious concepts that reinvigorate the classic layout.
With a driver's side kitchen, the Birchover is fully kitted out with a two-ring hob and sink combination, integrated grill (with an oven on LWB models) and a 65-litre fridge. The fridge and grill are hidden by a stylish barrel fronted door that comes with extra storage. Meanwhile, the kitchen benefits from plenty of storage and a luxurious solid surface worktop that adds a classy touch to the conversion.
Moving to the back of the campervan is the RIB seat, with integrated seatbelts and headrests as well as incorporating room for under-seat storage and a cassette portable toilet. Combined with the free-standing table it provides a comfortable dining area. In the evenings it folds into a large comfortable bed in just two easy movements.
The VW based campervan comes with the choice of an SCA elevating roof (complete with a roof bed) or an SCA high-top roof. The elevating roof turns the vehicle into a 4 berth campervan with the roof bed, while also providing standing space. When travelling, the lowered roof provides the camper' with extra flexibility, allowing it to pass under height barriers. The high-top option forgoes the extra sleeping space in return for permanent standing space and more storage in the form of extra cupboards.
